Anyone have some more info on this B-29? Love the nose-art!

The plaid oval is meant to be an "O", thus the name is "Our L'lass."

Searching for the correct name turns up this google books hit from Osprey's book on Korean war B-29s: http://books.google.com/books?id=Q_eBOj ... CDEQ6AEwAA

So it's 44-61951 of 91st SRS.

Other informative links on this plane (search for 61951 to find it in the lists):

The nose art is great. If you can wrench your eyes over to the front end of the painting, you'll see the girl is holding a camera, a clue that this is a photorecon B-29. The camera resembles an Argus model that I own which is about the right vintage.

HTH.

That is one extraordinarily well done piece- the proportions look almost perfect, which isn't easy to do when the artwork is this large. And it's *juuust* edging up to the border of good taste. :)

Great find, thanks!

A little digging shows it to be copied from Esquire's Sept. 1950 pinup by Al Moore. In the original the girl was holding a phone rather than a camera.

Looks like a placard or logbook resting in the nose glass ...
