There is only a single airworthy Spitfire in all of Canada. Texas has a bunch.

Just a ballpark guess, but I bet it fetches close to ten million $$$.

Aye, there's a good deal of panty wringing on that British forum now about that very thing.

Whereas I have my fingers crossed that it comes to North America, although if it is only to disappear on some giant ranch in Texas like other Spitfires I've never seen, I'm more indifferent.

My sentiments exactly August

I don't think Seafire PR503 has seen the light of day since its' debut at Oshkosh.They were asked to come to Hamilton as this used to be a CWH machine,(in fact it was the fledgling CWH that saved her from the fire dump). They politely declined.
The MkV "Marion" is seldom seen off the Lewis ranch. Seafire 47 never leaves home. There's definitely more.

PR503 still gets some air every May for the Salute to Veterans show in Columbia, MO, but the pickin's are indeed slim after that.
