Lots of new photos there, Mark, well new to me anyway. I'd love to have heard the noise those massed formations were making! I'm not sure about the P-51s over England pic, the architecture looks more like continental Europe.

man that's a lot of iron!!! 1 f-22 raptor & 1 f-35 joint strike fighter would probably pay for near 1/2 of the ww2 formation pics posted!!

I hate to break it to ya', but those ain't B-24s.

Reminds me of two weekends ago at Lunken Airport when Fifi was in. The TSWM brought its B-25 in and I volunteered to help out by standing around and answering questions. I started to notice a pattern - people kept asking, "Is this a B-24?". On the second day I figured it out: the CAF had advertised Diamond Lil as being part of the tour, but she couldn't make it due to the nose gear collapse and so people assumed the other large plane there was the B-24! :lol:
