Can anyone supply info as to where these photos are shot?

Van Nuys? I note Rear Bear in the background.

Could it be Tucson? Wasn't the Bear parked there for a while in the 70's? Is that the Invader that ended up with the Doctor at Deer Valley, AZ until it was flown into a mountain in bad weather?

I'd guess the one with the Bear is Van Nuys as that's where it was minus its engine/prop following its incident at Mojave 1976 (you can also make out the 3-tone purple striping it had at this time). I don't think Lyle Shelton got it flying again until 1980.

The one with the Bear could be at the northwest corner of 16 right, now an area just vacated by Pentstar, and a new sign up for Bob Hoover Jets. The road might be Roscoe Blvd as it makes an ess turn over the tracks.
Dont remember the A 26, but I think someone named Keck has two beauties at Van Nuys that he never shows at public events.

A look at the website for N6840D;

http://napoleon130.tripod.com/id315.html

shows a similar photograph of this Monarch 26 "...at Lancaster Feb 1978".

Does this help or further confuse?

Bonzo, you can change "could be" to "is". Your info is spot on. Next to Roscoe Blvd at the NW end of Van Nuys airport. The picture that says Lancaster is actually the same spot at VNY. You can see the Bear in the background in that one, too.
