Very upsetting to hear that Liza. I was holding out hope that we'd see her. Edit the B-25A "Miss Hap" is just a B-25. No letter designation. Here's to adding five or six B-17s onto that list!

Special Note: The most reliable information we have is the rumors are true; the Mosquito is being/has been sold, and its appearance schedule is being modified. We have a signed contract and we are waiting to hear if the new owner is willing and/or able to honor that contract. Check back often for updates on the situation.

'Huge' isn't the word I'd use, but it's nice to see the list growing.

I'm excited about the prospect of seeing 'Barbie III' for the first time, and 'Briefing Time' for the first time in... a long while.

Especially heartening to me was the announcement on the show's Facebook page that the C-46 will be there. Think I've seen a C-46 at a show maybe once or twice over the years. Back in the 80s and 90s, if memory serves. I was quite young, though, and wasn't really impressed with transports at the time. Since then, I've seen a couple more... one at the Curtiss Museum and another at the Air Force Museum, but naturally they weren't flying. 'Maturity' has caught up with me a bit (it's still trailing, 7 O'clock low, but getting closer!) and I've come to appreciate things more... more so in this case, as my Grandfather helped build C-46s here in Buffalo, as well as the P-40. So I'm quite anxious for the next couple'a weeks to pass by quickly so's I can see-me a C-46 in the air.

Speaking of Hawks... there used to be two P-40 regulars at Genny. Sadly, we lost Bob Baranaskas and AK899 in 2009... and since then the only P-40 I've seen at Genny has been 'The Jacky C. II'.

I'd love to see Jerry Yagen's Hawk at Genny again, but, of course, that's just not gonna happen. Not any time soon, anyway... if ever again. (I sincerely hope he can get things straightened out in a manner that sees some of his collection staying put, for the sake of everyone concerned... it's sad to us fans, sure, but it must be gut-wrenching for those directly involved)

Anyone know if the VWoC Kittyhawk has ever attended Genny? I vaguely recall it being slated to appear one year, but that could also just be a wishful memory. VWoC have two other birds on the list, and have been regulars for a while. Is the P-40 based further away? (I suppose that, of all people, I should know the answer to that question, but... nope!)

Anyhoo, I'll end this incoherent rambling by saying that, small or 'huge', Genny still has the same magic now as when I was first put under its spell back in 1983. Fewer tricks nowadays, perhaps... and sometimes more... but it's magic nonetheless.

In 2008 there were four P-40's at Geneseo. The VWoC machine wasn't one of them as it was not yet complete. It has never been to Geneseo.
It is supposed to be heading out to Western Canada for a summer tour, but is currently at home in Gatineau resolving some technical issues.

I've been going to this show since the mid 80's. I have so much fun seeing folks I know that the airshow in the background is a cool bonus :D
Looking forward to seeing everyone. Looks like a great lineup. KA114 would have been the icing on the cake.
I send my best wishes to all involved with MAM. Hoping for a positive outcome and return to the skies for all.

I'm driving in from Detroit to see the two P-51s. As long as they show up I'll be happy.

Liza...not that I doubt you but is that an "official" announcement? Geneseo still has the "we don't know for sure" announcement on their website.

Mudge the undecided

Mudge, we have a contract with them, and we are waiting for the legal stuff to be sorted out. Honestly, we don't know yet, and neither do they. So, until then, take a look at everything ELSE that we have, here! 8)

All well and good but there comes a point where someone HAS to make a decision and/or an announcement and that's not 5 minutes before the aircraft is supposed to arrive. Yes...I'm being a pain in the butt. I worked for UAL for 34 years and was no less frustrated by "creeping delays" than the customers were.

Mudge the professional P I T A :ouch:

ps. And you can tout the "Everything else" all you want. That's not the point.
