Mudge, we have a contract with them, and we are waiting for the legal stuff to be sorted out. Honestly, we don't know yet, and neither do they. So, until then, take a look at everything ELSE that we have, here!![]()

All well and good but there comes a point where someone HAS to make a decision and/or an announcement and that's not 5 minutes before the aircraft is supposed to arrive. Yes...I'm being a pain in the butt. I worked for UAL for 34 years and was no less frustrated by "creeping delays" than the customers were.

ps. And you can tout the "Everything else" all you want. That's not the point.

I'm not trying to "spin" this in any way, I'm simply stating a fact. This is a serious legal situation, and we simply cannot speak to the matter on the Mossie. Like I said, we know what YOU know. So, if you don't have faith in it, then feel free to make your judgement call. We made the decision to announce the legal situation, and we could very well not know until the show has passed. If that be the case, we are not at fault for honoring our part of the contract.

SERIOUSLY- Glad to hear you have GREAT show planned. And I like Bomberflight's take on crossing the pond to see shows that may or may not happen due to rain, mechanical issues, or WHATEVER...
They called is sweating out the mission in WWII.

Tim Savage wrote:Somehow I doubt it is a "serious legal issue". Most airshow appearance contracts that I saw and signed had so many contingencies in them that they weren't really contracts...more an agreement that "hey if you show up, I will give you XXXX." I doubt anyone who operates a warbird would sign anything but that given the nature of the operation of these aircraft. Also, I am betting that HAG or NWM would not pursue anything against an aircraft owner for non-appearance since that would probably chill anyone else from entering into a 'contract' with them. We made it to all the shows we booked when I was operating the B-25 except one. That show was run by a woman who led a non-profit organization that put on the show. She seemed to think we were running an airline and was pretty upset when we couldn't come...but we had an engine off the airplane due to failure...not much you can do about that. But again, there really wasn't a contract in the sense of an enforceable agreement.
Unless things have radically changed in the way warbird contracts are written...but I seriously doubt that.
