Robbie.... It was the Arizona Wing's "Maid in the Shade"..... The TV crew for this race did a great job of shooting and she looked really great. I can't say the other network did such a good job earlier in the year when the B-17 "Sentimental Journey" performed the opening flyover for the Phoenix race.... You got two seconds of a head on shot... that was it......

That was really good at the brickyard.Filming the flyover at most races is a joke.Whoever is in charge of that goatscrew needs to be fired.Hey film crew, when you hear the planes start filming.See how easy that is. Ok rant is off for the time being.

I was at this race yesterday and that was the best B-25 flybys i have ever seen. Not for the flat pass but the extremely high angle sharp 360 turn to line back up on the straightaway to do an amazing skewing wing wag then another high angle climbout 180 degree turn. Thank you to the pilots for that, a truly awesome b-25 flyby. Here is a photo of them banking overhead, i was sitting in-between turns 3 and 4 on the miller party deck.

Now you know what is feels like to be in a college marching band. Put 40+ hours into a show, and see a few seconds on the air if you are lucky.
I was in the Ohio State Marching Band from 1988-1991. Had to watch it rebroadcast Saturday night on one of the local stations to see it.
