The operator ( or 'Projektorfuehrer' ) mounted it on the wing to achieve the desired upward angle, then they either taxied the 109 closer or pushed it back again to obtain clarity of focus. They tried to use it in the air but the plug of the power cord (seen in the photo) kept pulling out of the wall socket as the 109 took off.
Needless to say - Geschwader in-flight movies were a failure.
