This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

This original manual was given to me last winter; belonged to the uncle of a lady I know.
I want to donate it to someplace/somewhere were it can either be used or put on display
A little tattered and worn, runs maybe 75 pages printed both sides
Free - no costs, not even shipping & handling !!

Whoever gets it, scan it and send a copy to us for the Military Technical Manual Online Library Initiative at
http://library.warbirdinformationexchange.org/I think we need to get that going again. I'll have to work on a redesign and update.

Now I have a problem…
6 legitimate requests for the training manual – I’m posting this in the forum as well as responding to the individuals responding.
Can anyone make 6 copies, send the copies to the people requesting it for information (including Scott at WRG) - then I only have two museums wanting it for display.
I have the capability to scan it, just not the time right now

I'm sure someone is willing to make copies

Dave-
I'd like to add the Eagle Flying Museum to the list.... we specialize in training and collect WWII manuals.... a copy would be fine... we can scan it and send out digital pdf's if that would work.
Thanks,
gunny

Can we get a copy for the mechs who are working on Fifi right now? I know one of them, I'm sure they would love to get the resource to help in their efforts to keep her in the air! I'd be happy to run the copies - or if I can get on the list of copies - either would be great! - Keith

I'd love to have a scanned or electronic copy.

Keith, we have several copies of this. While very cool to have it is of very little use when working on "FIFI". So much has been changed over the years that most of it no longer applies b

I'd like to add my name to the distribution list for a scanned copy as well, if I may.

Cheers,

Perhaps someone can scan it and post it online for anyone to download?
If all else fails, I can scan it, send out copies, then mail the original to the final destination.

If someone sends me an electronic copy I'll add it to the library.

Some modern photocopiers can scan & print at the same time at a phenomenal rate. Lawyer friend of mine has one that scanned a pile of medical records about 8in thick in maybe 10 minutes. Not only ended up with the paper copies, but also a computer file that he put on a disc for me.
Might be worth having a look to see if anyone local has one of these, pity I can't remember who made the dang thing.
