As I mentioned before her, I was the remains of the aircraft after Hurricane Andrew. It was rolled into a ball and was unrecognizable so I had to ask one of Mr. Week's employees what it was. Good to see it's coming among. A neat aircraft with an interesting history.

Is this the one that Tallman had pinted as a F4B-4?

Very cool! I've been wondering what was happening with this project. Thanks for the link.

More important than Tallman's ownership of the aircraft is the time it spent with Tallman's partner (the professional kind..not what "partner" means today :) ) Paul Mantz. It appeared in many films, often flown upside down. A very historic aircraft.

BTW: A friend has also ordered a P-12 replica along with Weeks P-12 & F4B. He tells me the plane is several years late. He's not a real happy camper.

So is this essentially a "data plate restoration"?

He tells me the plane is several years late. He's not a real happy camper.

Well as one watching firmly from the sidelines, why did he persevere?

I think that Roy Rehm has made incredible progress, he has created essentially from scratch 10 new exact Boeing 100's, P12,s, F4B`s.
he has faithfully recreated each variant, and cut no corners.
I think at this level it takes what it takes in terms of time, you cannot rush perfection.
Lets not forget that in the process, Roy has invested over 20 years of his life in the full time pursuit of this project. Thats dedication!

No doubt at any time your friend was able to simply request a refund, due to the time it was taking?

I would also think that when they are completed and delivered they will exceed even the most demanding customers expectations,
they are true works of art.
I hope your friend is happy, it has certainly been a long road, but seeing that video is pretty exciting.

These do look amazing. Its just so cool to see the one 100 almost completely assembled, then you walk into the next shop and theres two F4Bs and two P-12s! Really really cool. Once Kermit's Boeing 100 is out the door, I'm assuming the others will be close behind. Really neat stuff.
