Anyone know the current status of either N106FG and/or N29VF? I've heard rumors one or both are heading to OZ.

Last I heard the Gary Kohs Corsair (N106G) is headed to Tony Raftis in Australia since he sold on the former Max Chapman F4U-4 that he had purchased to a guy in Alaska who made him 'an offer he could'nt refuse' (did the Brando accent come through?)...have'nt heard anything about the other one except that it's up for sale...

Raftis has purchased BOTH the Kohs FG-1D (BuNo.92106) and the Vintage Fighters FG-1D (BuNo.67070). He also purchased one of The Vintage Fighters P-51D's during his visit to their hangar! As I understand it, one, if not both of the Corsairs will remain here in the United States.

You gotta give props to Mr. Raftis. He's got enough insight into the warbird scene to single out and purchase the very finest Corsair restorations on the planet! 8) If I could jump in the game, I'd have made precisely the same choices. He's got a nose for the good stuff :!:

Hope this doesn't upset anyone, but all aircraft will most likely end up down under. US loss is our gain, can't wait to see the Corsairs!.

Bring 'em on!

What's the latest on the Hosking Corsair? Must re-do my Classic Wings subs!

Cheers

Andy

Can anyone provide a list of the aircraft collected so far by Mr Raftis?

Why are the FG-1Ds being kept in the USA?
