1941 HAG to National Warplane Museum

Thu Oct 10, 2013 11:45 am

I am hoping some people here can help me with something. Recently the 1941 H.A.G. in Geneseo renamed themselves back to the National Warplane Museum. Good for them! I have a location dossier for the 1941 HAG...

I plan to change the status on this dossier so it is hidden, and start a new dossier under the new name. Before I do I would like to confirm the aircraft list via the link above is complete for the museum at the time of the name change. Is anyone on WIX a regular visitor to Geneseo and can confirm that? Should I make any changes to the list?

Mike

N3N and BF are no longer with our museum. The BF is @ Yagen's (and for sale I believe.) You may want to add the MARC A-20 Havoc that's on-site, as well as a Culver Cadet. 8)

Thanks for the tips! A few questions.

#1 What was the ID of the Bf-108?

#2 When the NWM originally moved from Geneseo to Elmira, did the C-46 stay on-site in Geneseo before moving to Hamondsport?

#3 When did the B-23 move to Geneseo?

#4 The site mentions a second An-2, Boris. Which one is this?

#5 Is this L-21 still with the museum, or is a visitor during shows?: L-21B-135 (replica) Cuby, c/n 690, c/r N90293

#6: What is the ID of the CT-133?

The revised list is here...

The C-46 was moved to Elmira for a number of years until being moved to it's current location in Hammondsport.

1.) BF-108 (Nord 1101) was N208K c/n 162.

2.) The C-46 stayed in Geneseo for 1-2 years after NWM left, then was trucked to Hammondsport.

3.) B-23 moved to Geneseo during 3 trips, April 2010-October 2010.

4.) 2nd AN-2 "Boris" is in pieces, not sure on ###s, though.

5.) L-21 is still with museum.

6.) Unknown

The C-46 was trucked to Elmira. I was there many times during the airshows and it was there and I talked to the person that painted some markings on it. It is now at the Curtiss museum. I was at this museum back in June and it was there.
