New FW190 ?

Tue Jan 24, 2006 5:42 am

On 14th December 2005 an FW 190 F8/RI had a reservered registration of N190ML - This has a wr nummer quoted as 583 573

The owner is not listed on the FAA website

I looked up this wr nummer on Mikaels axis aircraft website and it does not match any known Fw 190's however I wonder if it is one?

Fw 190F-8 USA CR White 5 SG5 With Mark Timken, formerly with Jim Pearce in UK. This is only a wing, no fuselage

Any comments

Regards

Could it be White One being rebuilt in the USA?

Just a thought....

Could ML in N190ML be: Malcolm Laing ???

If so (according to axisaircraft.com)

Fw 190A-6 550470 USA CR White 7
I./JG26 N126JG Owned by Malcolm Laing, Texas. Restoration to fly with probably a ASh-82 engine. fuselage almost complete. He uses two wrecks (W.Nr. 0140668) from France for spare parts.

Prehaps this is the other wreck????

Mark Timkens' is N91FW, he hasn't registered another F-8. Malcolm Laing has no F-8 registered and doesn't know anything about this latest registration. At the moment it remains a mystery, but one would have to assume it is an 'identity ' only.

What is interesting is that

http://fw190.hobbyvista.com/werkn.htm

does not list 583 573 within a known werk nummer block

I suppose we will neeed to wait until N190ML moves to the main Register (rather than a reservation) before we find out anything else
