Lancaster KB882 your assistance is urgently needed

Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:23 pm

I have a BIG favour to ask of the Warbird Enthusiast Community:

On January 19th, I received an email from my internal contact at the City of
Edmundston, NB requesting that I prepare a final and comprehensive
presentation to their City Council on Monday February 27th. The intent is to
provide members a concentrated and complete image of the historical
importance of KB882 to Canada, the Commonwealth and the World from an
engineering, manufacturing, social, military, aviation and preservation
perspective. This should be the final step in securing funding, establishing
a non-profit legal entity so that more WORK can begin.

Representatives from the Greenwood Aviation Museum (Lancaster KB839) will be
accompanying me to assist with this presentation.

I ask that any of you who share the vision contact the person noted below
via email to show them that there is INTERNATIONAL interest in this warbird.

copy this message to any other forum, group or individual you feel may be
beneficial to our cause.

Sent along a missive myself too. This aircraft really needs to come indoors in a big way!

Cheers,
Richard

PS. Everyone out there write a quick and cogent message to help this campaign... it won't take much time, and it's important for the local government to see how much international attention this aircraft has. Be POLITE though!

Ditto, Peter...just sent Ms. Poitras my strongest encouragement. Thanks for the heads-up.

C'mon WIXers: Time to make a difference. If a round-motor fan such as I can pen a few words in favor of something that bore four pointies, you can, too (Plus, I feel all warm & fuzzy inside now).

thanks guys
