You need big tools for big jobs.

A few years ago I watched a TV show on guys who restore tanks.
I have a couple of old cars so I'm familiar to the restoration process..but what was fun to watch is the size of the tools needed to put a tank back together.
Your typical car engine hoist has the be replaced by a forklift or industrial crane. Great stuff.
Unlike car restoration, there is no room for being delicate with tanks. You can't dent the body work. Likewise, everything is one color....don't worry about shiny paint.

God bless the guys who spend their time and money in taking on the big jobs for all of us to enjoy.

Well fellas, I just got back into ATL tonight and I and John Eads are wore slap out. It took three long days to get the press broken down and removed from the shop. The owner was the coolest 70 years young Cat you would ever wish to meet and loved old cars as well. The press launched this morning and barring bad weather will be here Monday to be unloaded. The press had been in operation continuously since the the early 60s and was shut down two years ago. I have been looking for just this kind of press for years but could never afford one. I finally had to take the plunge and buy this one. Its a massive press and I will supply more pics as well reassemble it in the basement of my shop. It is a 3 in 1 press that will rubber press, brake press work and draw forming all in one. The other provision it has is T slot beds top and bottom for male female dies for doing intake and exhaust duct work. You know the carb and oil intakes on the b-17 wing? Piece of cake now along with the major bulkheads in the b-17.Holywood PM me when youre not out playing in the sand ok.
