Recently ive spent time with an 90yr old RAAF veteran interviewing him about his life time of flying as he had just released a book on his flying experience last year where it was a winner of a RAAF award.
Laddie Hindley originally never wanted to fly but by chance he ended up flying from 1940s to late 1980s in many aircraft and helicopter types in PNG, Asia and Australia. Laddie flew over 18,000 hours and some he details significant historical event where he was involved in.
