I went through the Martin B-26 s/n list and found no aircraft named 'Bonnie'. Usually the right side was 'given' to the Crew Chief to personalize. It could also be a TB-26, an AT-23, a JM-1/2 most of which stayed 'plain vanilla'. The two leter I.D. on the nose leads me to think it was a Navy JM-2. Too bad we don't have a left side shot of it.

I wonder if "FT" = "Flight Test"?

Inspector:

Good day!

Tks for info & data. The Martin B-26 "Bonnie" has been one elusive aircraft for years. We do have a pic of the L/S of another "Bonnie". Will ck & upload later on.

FT: Poss Flight Test! a good guess!

The tail looks to have the pointy sheet metal fairing in place of the guns..common on JM-1s and Stateside trainers.

I could swear I've seen a photo of a PBJ-1 with the same "FT" logo on the nose, but I can't recall where.

Martin B-26 Marauder Folks:

The L/S shot of poss the same aircraft. Late 40s. Place Ukn. (While I dig for a better resolution shot).

Steve tks for the info. Some Navy/ USMC vet may come up with something related to it. Photo R.G. Besecker c. 1980s via D. Fenton. Id as Reg NL 1500M.

I would say the tail is red. Also, there appears to be a pitot tube on each wing. I'm not a Marauder expert but, I don't think standard -26's had that.

Inspector:

Good day!

Doing a bit of more digging now:

1. Do you have pics or paperwork that shows the S/N of Martin 41-35373? Was it a bare metal scheme??

2. In addition, Martin B-26 AAF 42-107640 was a AT-23 c/n 8904 who never saw WW II action. Later turned into an JM-1 Navy Tow Target sample. Buno 75187.

Plz upload pics of then if you have them. Other poss place for the pictures above is Patuxent River NAS, c. 1950s.

Tks in advance

My Martin B-26 production list shows what I've posted, we know it was a bare metal airframe and the CAA/FAA paper trail says what it says, and we have pictures.
My list also shows 43-34375, l/n 4579 to be a B-26G-5-MA. I have no photos.
As to the finish on 373 I have no idea-
