I am trying to find the best way to get in contact with Jim Slattery or someone in his organization - I would like to find out about bringing his PBY to an air show in Wendover! Please PM me if you have any info you can share

Thanks,

Tom P.

Don't know if just having some more names will help, but I found some news accounts of the ferry flight that broght it back from South Africa:

"So Slattery sent three of his full-time employees β€” pilots Bob Franicola and Mike Castillo and chief mechanic Matt Voigt. The trio flew from South Africa to Namibia to Angola to Cameroon to Liberia to Brazil to French Guiana to Trinidad to Panama to Costa Rica to Mexico. The first 14 legs of the trip ranged from five hours to 13 hours apiece."

The only "PBY" guy on the West Coast with whom I've ever had direct contact is Joe Shiel. Don't know if he has any direct channel to Jim Slattery's group, but he is connected to the Collings Foundation - and he's a member here and you could try to PM him about it...

Good luck!

Who owns the pig boat tanker that hangs around at KAWO?
