VAC aircraft update (photos)

The Canberra is a former British English Electric model of some type although former USAF and ANG RB-57A's looked very similar.

The NASA WB-57F's are the only flying "B-57's" in the world.

There is a flying Canberra over in the UK that I would love to see.

The VAC Canberra looks terrific! I know there was some discussion about the possibility of this one being turned into a flyer someday but the cost to do this may be insurmountable at this point. Would love to see it happen.

Can't wait to see what it looks like when the restoration and repainting are finished.




And on another note - very excited about the prospect of "The Skyblazers" Sabre taking to the air again!

The VAC website announced the addition of this flying A-4C Skyhawk to it's warbird collection on January 8th.
Found it sitting in the new hanger yesterday.



And here are a couple shots of it at last years airshow.
Doesn't seem possible, but only 5 weeks remain till the 2014 show on March 14,15 & 16.

That is a gorgeous little "Scooter". Will this bird be maintained airworthy and flown by VAC? How many Skyhawks are operating as warbirds now?
