FHC,s new display

Mon Feb 03, 2014 9:26 pm

FHC is opening a new display on February 21st that is pretty unique in the warbird world, it is being set up in the new hangar but due to non disclosure agreement we had to sign can't say more but as soon as an announcement is made I will post a description and pictures if I can figure out how to do it. You have a tendency to slow down when you hit 75 yrs. posting.php?mode=edit&f=3&p=520059#

Now the rest of the story

FHC has announced that they will display the largest collection of A6M Zeros and artifacts starting at 10:00 AM on Feb. 21. It will include Sakae engines and Zero arms.It is opening in conjunction with Cineramas premiere of the Japanese film "The Wind Rises" This animated film is a fictional biography of Jiro Horikoshi the designer of the A5M & A6M Zero. It has been nominated for a Academy award.

What he means is as with most recently crowned NFL Super Bowl champion teams, it's usually difficult to keep that Championship team together after the big win. Most of the players think they're worth at least twice as much now since the Super Bowl victory and demand more money. Even with P Allen's empire it's either one of two things, he either can't pay them all more or won't. The latter would seem the more realistic. Therefore it won't be surprising to see several players go elsewhere for more money. Business is business and loyalty is fleeting. P Allen is proven to be quite smart, he'll get what he wants with his team and have plenty (we hope anyway) left to continue to expand his vintage air force.

For those who don't know (or don't care) P Allen's either the outright or majority owner of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, MLS's Seattle Sounders and NBA's Portland Trailblazers, among at least a partial ownership of some other professional teams.

Or perhaps your ???'s refer to the original poster "canning" his original post. If that's the case I'll add a few ??? of my own.

True, but other factors enter the equation like salary caps enforced by the NFL, the fact that the HAWKS got DangeRuss for chump change as a 3rd round draft pick (about $650K). Lots of money spent on getting Percy Harvin and Marshawn. Besides P. Allen already has a pretty nicely finished 757 to balance off his 767.
Paul has more money in the change dish on his counter than you wll gross in your lifetime. The SOUNDERS spent $9 million on getting Clint Dempsey and he scored exactly 1 one, ichi, ein, uno nine million dollar goal during the 2013 season.
Did you notice during the game that whenever the camera went tight on Russ' eyes before a snap, he looked more like he was trying to decide on the blue sweater or green shirt instead of staring at 4500 pounds of sweaty opposing beef-

Yes indeed Bill correct you are, but I was trying to stay clear of this conversation as this is a warbird related site.
As for the Sounders? Ziggy is a good friend of mine who coaches that team and don't ever bring up the "Dempsey thing" some real bad mojo there, but it's all about the fans right?

So what's the deal? no FHC news any longer? Sounded like a neat thing coming up.

????

My original ???? was to the original message being nothing but a comma, but the subsequent discussion has really thrown me for a loop.

Are we talking about Hawker Seahawks, Curtiss SC Seahawks or Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawks? I assume the frst or third as I am pretty sure there are no Curtiss Seahawks in Seattle (or anywhere else).

OK, toss this on the pile, P. Allens crowd won't tell people outside the inner circle exactly what's stashed in the green hangers at KAWO or in warehouses all over the world, but rumor control has it that he has plenty many 'didn't know any were still left's' around.
