This aircraft will be 73 years old this year (built 11/15/1941) and will be over 100 years old before it will need to be recovered again. It will still be flying long after we are gone. Makes us proud that we had a hand in preserving this piece of history and are helping this old plane get back in the air after having been in storage since 1953. It will take over three years and 2500 man hours by the time we are finished.

It really looks great.
Thanks for sharing your progress, and posting all the shots, with such fine attention to detail.
A lot of folks focus on the first flight, but, I find a lot of value in enjoying the whole journey to that point.

Congratulations on your excellent progress.

Thanks guys,

My wife has helped in all of the restorations we have done, she has already put in a lot of time on this aircraft.
