As previously mentioned, Connie Bowlin. I have had the pleasure of knowing Connie, & her husband Ed for many years. Very nice, & talented lady.
http://www.gaaviationhalloffame.com/Hal ... l?&avid=21http://www.warbirds-eaa.org/news/122008 ... 0Fame.htmlAt the last air show that my father, a former 363rd Fighter Group WWII Fighter Pilot attended, before he passed away, Ed flying the P-51 "Old Boy" as was named while owned by Steve Collins, Connie narrating the routine, & myself as Crew Chief, Connie announced to the air show crowd that "Ed's performance today is dedicated to 1st LT Charles F. Stuart JR, a former 111 Combat Mission P-51 Fighter Pilot with the 381st Fighter Squadron, 363rd Fighter Group, 9th AAF, World War Two that is in attendance with us today sitting in the VIP Hangar". She went on to say that I was the Crew Chief on the aircraft etc...
Well I teared up, so did my mom, so did Steve, & dang if my dad didn't tear up (which he never did). Ed put on a superb flying display that day in the Mustang, as he always did, & we all were very honored for the Bowlin's dedication to my dad.
On a side note: My dad used to always say that "if you are real Mustang Pilot, then you can slow-roll it on take-off". Well nobody but Ed, Connie, & myself knew that I had asked Ed to do that, & when he did, dad & I had the biggest grins, & the owner of the airplane, Steve Collins bout crapped himself, good thing me & him were & still are good friends!
Kathryn (KT) Budde-Jones, I met KT several years ago when we did a big birthday celebration event here at Epps Aviation for General Paul Tibbets, & my boss Pat Epps.
http://www.thecrier.net/news/local_news ... f57fe.htmlAs coordinated by KT, I had the honor of assisting the General at times during the course of activities (man that's another story for another day!) during the event.
http://www.aero-news.net/Subscribe.cfm? ... 1573d7df0aIts my understanding that after being with Ford Island’s Pacific Aviation Museum—Pearl Harbor,
http://www.airspacemag.com/military-avi ... 53/?no-istthat KT is back in Florida, with Stallion 51 in Kissimmee.
