Our friends over at Flypast are on the verge of agreeing it's a US Tallboy.
According to specs the Tallboy case was 10 ft long by 38inch diameter.
You saw it Eric, can you guestimate the dimensions? Some Tall reading...

I'll keep my eyes pealed. At this rate, we'll see the "MEMPHIS BELLE" thrown on the twisted scrap pile after awhile.

I was not going to post this picture, but it will help with the dimension's i am a 5' 7". there appeared to be connections on the back for some sort of assembly to attach to. He also has the engines in cans and the aft end of the fuselage. i could not find a serial number on it.

Yup, that does look like the case for the 12,000 lb. "Tarzon" bomb; may have been a practice or engineering example. Too small for a Grand Slam.
Sure would be nice to see a B-47 take wing again -- especially an RB-47 -- they were lovely lookin' jets!

First off Eric I want to thank-you for your sacrifice in the name of science!
I am 6 foot and my beergut just begins below my bb at 38 inches...so
we have a rule of scale now, and it's looking good for the Tallboy. Inert
instructional or display pieces were often painted silver or od-green as per
the text.
Did he say WHAT kinda engines were in the cans???

Yup, fair enough....looks like an inert practice bomb to me. Still isn't nearly in the same ballpark as the Grand Slam, though (pun intended).

Eric
Did the gentleman give you any idea as to what he paid for all the different pieces from DRMO?
