Really? So the satellite's shadow looks like a P3 Orion?

No....No..silly. The satellite image caught the image of the wreckage just as an Orion was flying past.

Interesting. Always nice to see an update on something so unique, yet tragic.
There are pages of threads on this among the warbird enthusiasts; many who judge, and those who sympathise at the agony.
To me I, feel glad that if it had to happen, it did when it did, not 30 minutes later at 5,000 feet.
I salute the folks who tried, valiantly, to save an abandoned relic of history, and to those who do, and will still, keep these artifacts alive for the future..

I agree. I always thought it was a great effort. Sad outcome but they gave it one heck of an attempt under pretty tough conditions...
