This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I've created the first entry for the War Memorial Registry. It's pretty basic but you can check it out here
http://www.warmemorialregistry.org/united_states_pennsylvania_beaver_falls.htmlThe initial layout will be a drill down style that will allow you to descend though the levels, getting narrower as you go.
WORLD/COUNTRY/STATE-PROVENCE/CITY
For now I will group all memorials in a given city on a single page, though that will probably change if sufficient information warrants it.
You can check out the site from the welcome page by going here
http://www.warmemorialregistry.org/I would appreciate any suggestions for improvements and any problems. Thanks.

Scott,
Is it going to be for planes on poles or all war memorials ? In the Phx valley there are 3 well known ones, the F-86D in Chandler, the F-100 in Glendale and the USS Arizona at the state capitol complex.

A while back in my travels, I started taking pictures of all the war memorials in different cities, towns across the country...from Civil War cannons to current millitaria...I'll see if I can drum them up if you like.

Got some fair pictures of the Chandler Planecicle, but it's not, strictly speaking, a war memorial. It's dedicated to the airmen at Williams AFB - probably as much for contributions to the local economy as anything<G>
Are there any strict qualifications for the monuments? I also have some pix of the monument at Pearson commemorating the flight of the Tupolev ANT-25 from Moscow to Vancouver WA too

lol, I click the link and I see an awfully familiar aircraft. It's my home airport! I like the idea of this type of registry.
Thought like asked before, just aircraft or any type of memorial?

As long as it's it's dedicated to the military in some aspect then it qualifies, whether it is specifically dedicated to a war or not. And any type from plaques to statues to tanks and aircraft will find a place there. This is a long term project and will be expanded as information and time is made available. Thanks for the support.
