CAF Museum in Midland

Wed Feb 15, 2006 9:15 am

Looks like two friends and I will be flying to the CAF museum in Midland this weekend if the weather is good enough (which it probably won't be...). Any thing in particular we should check out there, get pictures of, or ask about?

Hello Ryan, If you could please ask if there is any news on restoring the B-23. Thanks & I hope you have a good visit. :D

Check out the progress on the B-29 and also if the Shackleton is there, it's definitely worth a look.

Robbie,
Sorry but the B-23 is still up for assignment. It's available if someone
has the $$$.
Currently the CAF has a PV-2 (N86493) also available and could be flying in a very reasonable amount of time.

Stephen,
What are the local folks in Midland saying about the weather Saturday morning?

Ryan,
Kinda nasty. Cloudy if not overcast. Windy 20-30mph and Hi of low
40's. I think it will be dry though.

Sunday will be warmer but could get showers.

Ryan, you all might try next weekend as there is still to much freezing rain around.

Check 6,

Well we didn't go. Ceilings at KSAT were 800 feet with worse forecasted and possible icing late in the day. We will have to reschedule.
