Just thought I'd pass along my pics from this event a couple weeks ago. Sorry for the external link, but Photobucket just isn't worth the trouble anymore. If anyone wants to post them here and knows any tricks with Flickr, feel free to do so.

My Dad and I traveled up to Hamilton for this event and to see the museum for the first time. We were a little disappointed in the event Saturday, but Sunday more than made up for it. The aircraft flew much closer the area where the crowd was Sunday and there was much better access overall to the aircraft. For example, the Mossie was never on outdoor static display in the static area Saturday, and neither was the Lancaster. Both aircraft were in the static area Sunday. The aircraft also started up much closer to the crowd Sunday- it was especially nice that the Mossie was able to fire up right in front of the crowd!

We also dropped by the museum Friday night to see if there was any activity and were able to see the Trojan Horseman fly their practice show as the sun was setting- sweet! If we go back to this event, we will probably make it a point to buy tickets for the Night Airshow to see the aircraft fly closer. I wish there would have been a pricing option to see the night airshow, but forego the dinner. That's something we definitely would have been interested in.

I also got my Dad a ride in the Beech 18 for Father's Day and we both went up Sunday. For $100 CDN, you can't beat it! What a great flight! From boarding the aircraft to shutdown, we were gone close to an hour. The crew walked us through the flight beforehand and did an excellent job in giving us some good sights to see from the air. That's easily the best bang for the buck I've ever gotten from a warbird ride.

We were very impressed with the museum in general and will definitely make a point of returning someday! I can't wait to see how the Bolingbroke, Avenger and Tracker restorations progress.

It's similar to Photobucket with a couple different steps:
1. Go to your Flickr page and click on the photo you want to post.
2. In the lower right corner there's a star, an arrow, and another arrow pointing down at a line. Click on the arrow pointing at the line.
3. There will be a command box with different sizes listed; the last one is "View all sizes" - click on that.
The photo will come up with a list of sizes - choose the size you want (I'll use Medium 800 here) and click it.
4. When the photo comes up, right-click on it. A box will appear; left-click "Copy Image Location".
5. Go back to the Post Message page here on WIX. Click the "Img" box.
6. Center the cursor between , left click, then right click. Choose "Paste" and left click. The URL of the photo will appear.
Here you go:

Who has ownership of the Mosquito that was in Hamilton? Did Mike Potter get his hands on it? I hear he is trying to land one! :spit

The CWH Flyfest/Airshow is to me, like the Chino show must be to a lot of you guys in the East. A long way to go, but gotta do it. Some day.

Thanks for sharing your photos, Kid. The Twin Beech is a sweet ride, isn't it?
