So we recently (just now) identified the wreck of an A-3 variant off the coast of the Florida during the filming of a TV documentary. Now the producers are trying to find an expert that would be willing to look at the footage to provide an expert opinion in a brief interview segment. Any contacts would be greatly appreciated! They are on a very tight schedule, and we are currently working in New Smryna Beach but they are headed to South Florida tomorrow.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Mike

Michael, here are three possible IDs for this aircraft, courtesy Joe Baugher's site:

144837 (VAP-62) lost in flight from NAS Jacksonville Apr 1969

Good luck with your project!

The folks at the A-3 Skywarrior Association might be able to help:

Speaking of Skywarriors, here's EA-3B BuNo 146453, aka Ranger 15, on display at VFM:

She's open for interior tours during regular Museum hours, too!

Thanks for the VFM heads up, I'm wanting to get into one for detail photos to build a model of a VQ-2 bird for my dad's bday.
