The Ju88 looks to be in amazing shape, you can still clearly see her German markings some one needs to go get her. As there aren't very many JU88's around.

Hopefully she'll be recovered. Even more hopeful, one of these wrecks gets restored to flying condition. Either that, or someone builds a new one.

Yes, some props were laminated wood with a doped fabric cover for weatherproofing.

You can see some traces of the wood in the propeller boss.

The photos and write up are almost a quarter of a century old!

before they were copied without credit onto a site that used them to seek money for diving recovery scams.

The owner of the site at the time used various images, including the Lake Washington aircraft, to claim that he had found rare aircraft in the North Sea/Fresh Water Lakes in the UK/Fresh Water Lakes in Switzerland etc.

His widow cleaned up the more fantastical scams off the real warbird photos site before it was reposted but still omits to credit the owners of the images.
