Let them know that I have the Curtiss Electric Prop Decals for sale if they would like to buy some to put on the props instead of the Hamilton Standard Decals. I also have AeroProducts "AeroProp" Decals that are used on Bearcats, Skyraiders, P-39's.

What's the history of the airplane? #153 is the 432nd FS 475th FG. I've got a friend here in Salem (L/C John Weber) who flew in the squadron during the P-38H era and probably flew the airplane if it's marking are correct to the airplane.

Howdy all

In regards to P-38H-5-LO, s/n. 42-66841
This aircraft was indeed from the 432nd FS/ 475th FG/ 5th AF

The remains of the original paint found on the fuselage, had the names
(Pilot)
Lt. Edward G. Dickey
(Crew Chief)
Sgt. Manuel Malandrakis

Also found on the Fuselage, was two Victory marking Symbols ( Japanese flags )

The Starboard Fin had the remains of the Squadron Number '53' (rudder was missing). When the crew names were linked to the 432nd Fighter Squadron, it was put together that the Squadron Number was '153'.

Not long after returning to his home town, Edward Dickey was Killed in a freak accident. But not before saving another persons life in the process. After the death of Dickey, he became a town hero.
