While on vacation we visited the Flight 93 Memorial-while on the way we saw a sign for a covered bridge. Found the bridge, but something more interesting for me - Huey. There is a memorial just nearby at American Legion Post 257 that has a tank and a Huey. The Huey had no numbers on it-even the mfg plate was missing. I have been given info that the SN is 66-16993 and that it was assigned to the USAF, and no further info was available. I checked Baugher's site and he has 990 and 994 with nothing in between.
Anyone have any further info on it?

When answering "What is where?" type questions the Locator should always be your first stop.
ImageAerial Visuals - Locator

As for this specific Huey...
ImageAerial Visuals - Location Dossier - American Legion Post 257 - UH-1
ImageAerial Visuals - Airframe Dossier - Bell204/205/208/208/212/214/412/553 / UH-1 Iroquois, s/n 66-16993 USAF

Mike

P.S. The airframe dossier could really use a photo upload. (hint, hint, hint)

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

The Locator may not be mobile friendly. I have not had the time to create a mobile version... yet.

Thanks for the uploads. I'll look for them.

Mike
