I am excited to announce the release of the new book Breckenridge Warbirds. After many years of recounting our memories of the Breckenridge Airshow Brad Pilgrim and I gathered our photos and compiled them into this 90 page book. Over 170 photos from the show! Many of you have shared photos and your own stories from Breckenridge here on WIX so this is where it debuts. I hope it brings back great memories for those who were there and I hope it takes some of you there who never made the event!

Somehow I didn't know y'all were doing the book. I have literally hundreds of photos from the 15 or so years that I attended the Breckenridge Air Show. A handful of 'em are actually pretty good! Of course, they're all 35 mm prints that would have needed to be scanned...

Dean - we figured more photos would come out of the wood work. At some point we can put all the photos together in one collection. Yes... These are 35mm and even a few 110!

Cactus Squadron performed there a couple of times, one morning we were sitting in a restaurant with a older couple that came there every year on vacation, just to fuel the planes, I asked them what do their friends think about them spending their vacation at a airshow passing gas ?
I had to duck A LOT of scrambled eggs on that one...

Hi Dean --

I agree! You and I were pretty serious lens lizards at Breckenridge all those years ago! Those were the days Amigo!

Dean and I considered our annual trip to Breckenridge as our annual pilgrimage to the Mecca of airshows. Even when I left Texas in 1986 I flew back for the airshow for quite a number of years (brings back fond memories of Republic CV-580s for part of the trip).

In any event, I'm glad to see a book on Breckenridge Dan!

Any of you remember the Grahm TX Airshow? When did that one end? 1983?

Mark

Thanks, Mark! So many good photos from the event we wanted to share for others to enjoy.

I never made a show in Graham. Denton was closer so my family attended a few CAF shows there.

Excitement is building for the return of the Breckenridge airshow. So many good memories and awesome warbirds. Makes me wonder how many aircraft will return to the show that were in attendance in years past? Snag a copy of the Breckenridge Warbirds book to re-live past shows.

Sorry the sale code that I previously posted does not work - I will post the next sale offer asap.
