There will be some amazing pictures from this event. Gotta' say, I love a good ole' fashioned gathering! Do we know which 8 P-40s will be attending? This is all I could think of from the short list.

P-40N CFM
P-40N CAF
P-40K TFLM
P-40E TFLM
P-40C LAL

Anyone know which others are going? Or if these are even correct?

Little ways away. For that matter we could see AAM's P-40M or MAM's P-40E, but I think those are too far away. What about Chris's P-40N from Ocala, FL?

I didn't know Texas Flying Legends had two P-40s. I knew they had the Aleutian Tiger. Which is the other?

Other possibilities: Rod Lewis' P-40B, John Fallis' P-40N.

Warhawk Air Museum (x2)
Rudy Frasca
Tri State Warbird Museum (not sure if it's back flying yet since engine failure)

Looks like it was recently acquired from the Liberty Foundation.

Sounds like a great event, but one thing, can you PLEASE quit using abbreviations for the names of the museums, some are well known, such as CAF, but the others are not so well known, I have been in the warbird movement most of my life and there are many more groups that have recently been formed and are not as well known and when you post a abbreviation, there is a good chance many will not know who you are talking about.

The P-40E pictured with the TFL Zero that Chris has shared has indeed been recently obtained by the Texas Flying Legends, as confirmed on their Facebook page. The Liberty Foundation sold it in early 2013 to Walter Bowe, who operated it until this past spring when it was reported that he had or was in the process of selling it, and took delivery of the Sea Fury he now owns at/around the same time.

I really wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the confirmed P-40's is from Fagen Fighters.

Had to Google 41-5709 to figure out why it looks so odd to me.

I know that two-seater conversions make good monetary sense for the operators, but I can't find it in my heart to love the way they look.

Just two cents, guys.

I believe there are more than a few P-40s flying around now with this addition of a second seat, BUT retaining the original decking that can be reinstalled in short order. Does anyone know if this is true?

Hence:

The decking makes all the difference. Great shot.
