The FAA registry carries N9865C as msn 108-32109 (TB-25N) which translates, at least in most B-25 lists, as 44-28834. I think I have a copy of the civil registry file for this airplane and will double check it, but I think it has been carried in the FAA files based on its msn and not its Army serial number since it was first registered back in the late 1950s. If the file has the USAF sales agreement (most do), that would be definitive as the military serial is shown. If so, I will post a copy here when I get back to my files this weekend.

Also the record card and other details I had from the 41BG indicate 43-27596 was salvaged post war December 3 1946 as excess inventory. I think at Clark, PI but I'll check.
