Years ago I came across a photo taken during WWII of a P-39-Q in flight and after some research located the pilot and sent him the image… he was pleased to receive the photo and a local newspaper wrote up a short story. Was wondering if any others out there have had similar experiences of contacting veterans for the purpose of bringing something to light or assisting in reconnecting with pictures, things or old wartime buddies?
