Mystery PBY Cat inspection stamps-can anyone please help ID?

Mon Aug 25, 2014 1:06 am

Hello,
I'm an archaeologist working on a collection of PBY Cat parts found dumped in Darwin Harbour post WWII. Almost all of them show a range of Boeing inspection stamps, however, I've also found a bunch of stamps I just can't seem identify. I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help or suggest any research ideas? Any help would be very much appreciated :)
I've included some photos - these showing stamps including "MBA 2" "RMC 2" "SCL 2" "DOL 14" "$" "N" "WSPV 14" and "WOC" / WDC" ? - this last one is hard to read but the shape / writing looks quite distinctive.
Thank you,
Caroline.
[PS I'm sorry for the giant photos! - I can't seem to make them any smaller....]
