I'd always heard that the Tobuls had enough spare corsair parts to build another one... perhaps this is the project. It must have been a very hard decision to proceed though. I wish them all the best with getting her flying again!

Years ago, a guy that I was dating gave me a data plate from a Corsair (what a romantic!) that he found while goofing around down at the old Charlestown base (that was an activity we all took part in, growing up here!) -- I wonder if it's from the same a/c? I don't know if there was more than one Corsair that bashed up here..........

That was one hell of an airplane operated by some really good people.
I was glad to see it when I did and saddened by their passing.
