94th Bomb Group photos

I recently acquired a used copy of "The 8th Air Force-Victory and Sacrifice". Tucked inside were some loose photos with captions.

The name on some was Phil Hatcher, Co-Pilot, B-17, 94th BG. I have seen his name in some 8th AF books on the B-17. He or someone added some captions under each.

I am posting them here. I don't know if they have been published before but are interesting. Enjoy!

I believe #5 is the last in a series of pics of a B-17 getting it's horizontal stab sheared off by a bomb from the aircraft above.
