man!!! i dream of untouched places like that all the time. their are still uncharted / unexplored areas to this day on new guinea that would yield some pretty cool stuff i'd bet!!

Plenty of cool stuff Tom, bad part is all the red tape beuracy and hoops that have to be jumped through!

A cure for the red tape blues is a Mi-17 and an unmarked AN-12 that suddenly departs in the middle of the night with boxes of fruit on board ,yea that's it fruit, no warbirds here lol. :twisted:

Good slideshow. Obviously the place has been developed into a tourist destination of sorts. The video is a powerful argument for leaving the artifacts where they can be appreciated in context.
