This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

If this has already been posted, please remove. Our good friend Chris Henry, mustangdriver, set a pretty good goal and achieved it on behalf on one of our heros. I am proud to be his friend in person and on line. Well done Chris! Great to correct a long time wrong for Staff Sgt. Zerbuchen.

Bravo Zulu Chris and everyone else involved in this. It's always great to see someone get recognized properly for their sacrifices and I'm glad that the US Military is finally working to right some of those wrongs, even if it does take a lot of coaxing.

Thanks guys! It was truly our honor. He's a very humble and quiet man. That made this even better. I learned from many of you all here. And thanks for the Clair comment. I hope he'd be proud!

Chris Henry, you're awesome.
Thanks for being the lubricant in the bearing surface that moved things along. That may not seem like much to you, but it's a huge effort and one you should be commended for guiding and making sure it happened.
Awesome job, sir. You rock. That selfless act meant a lot to a whole bunch of folks. Keep up the good work.

No surprise to see this thread, but a pleasant surprise to read it. I knew exactly the type of people Chris and Zack were when I met them this year at Chino. This news solidifies those feelings and reinforces the reality that these two men are doing what they were destined to do. Success in life has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It's what you do for others. I'm proud to have met both of these gentlemen.
A job well done fellas.

I know I can speak for us both(because I'm sitting right next to him) when I say thank you for the kind comments. We were honored to be a part of it. We are also honored to call so many of you friends.

Chris,
Outstanding job! Well done! I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't get a lump in my throat seeing him receiving his Purple Heart after 70 years. And a huge thank you for the effort and work you did to make sure he received his medal.
