Just a WAG, but it could be either Bu49956 or Bu50000. Does anyone know if either of these airframes fought in the Solomons?

I would imagine maybe, MAYBE $400,000, but for $850k, Id go out and buy something else that was flyable. And thats hard to say for me, considering I want no less than eight Corsairs operating as one unit out of Connecticut.

A couple flying Corsairs just sold on Platinum for around 1 million snd 1.5 million. I know the previous owner of one of them.

Really Scooby! Can you be specific? I don't recall seeing anything like your description. If memory serves me correct I don't think a flying corsair for less than 1.5 million has sold for upwards of 15+ years, and that's conservative! probably over 20 years.
I'm saying your statement is not correct.
