Good morning,
I am pleased to report that the B-52D "Calamity Jane" on display at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, AL
has just received a new coat of paint. Finished in V/N era night camo, she looks great. Perviously "'Jane" was
looking a bit long in tooth.

Was down there in August and it looked like work might be going on with her - glad to hear that!

Got a good look in 2012 the last time I was through there, did they do any metal work before the paint? I've seen far worse BUFFs on display but this one was having some issues at that time.

Great news..I was there last year and she was definitely looking a bit ragged. Salt air and hot sun will do that. Unfortunately paint tends to degrade pretty quickly under those conditions. Here's a pic I took i 2005 (about a month before Katrina) and she was pretty spiffy....

Image

Here she is again in 2010, starting to fade a bit...

And here she is just three years later, in desperate need of a makeover..

Can't wait to see what she looks like now.
