What do you think this is off off? It is about two feet long.
Anyone looking for some nav parts? Let me know.

Looks sort of like a B-25 air scoop and an ADF football antenna. Is that the case?
Cheers,
Richard

Chuck: I can sure use at least one ADF football for my projects. Email me with details if you are going to dispose of it..

I dont know what the intake is off of and that is why I was asking.

My first thought was to agree with Richard. It does look like it came off of a B-25. But Compare it to this pic. It doesnt seem long enough.

The air scoop maybe Skyraider, ventilation behind the cockpit. Maybe it's the way it's sitting suggests that to me. I don't know if two feet is long enough for a skyraider. Turn it over and it would present more ideas...Tom

I would name that air scoop Stuart Winslow.
It looks like it might be Fiberglas, no?

Here is the inside of the scoop. It matches the color of the grey Tracker on the ramp. It is as big as the ADF football.

the adf football could be off anything ww 2 vintage or post after. those things were grafted to just about countless numbers of aircraft. as to the scoop... i agree with the skyraider theory.

I think I'm now leaning toward the S-2E Tracker carb scoop, the attachment flange looks too flat to conform to the fuselage curvature of the Skyraider. So Chuck what other un-identified items do you have? If you're close to Tom Reilly's old digs there's no telling what's in the weeds....
