Sea Fury updates needed

Wed Feb 22, 2006 11:22 pm

Hi Everyone,
Looking for updates on a few Sea Fury's. Several weeks ago I posted the need for updates for P-39's and I really appreciated the response.
Continuing, I would like to find out the current ownership and status for the following Sea Fury's:

37537/N35SF/Vern McCallister
37731/VH-ISS/Rob Poyton
VX281/N281L/Zager A/C
WJ298/N26SF/John Dowd

Any Wix'ers have a picture of the above?

Thanks again,
Steve

Hi

As far as I know 37731/VH-ISS/Rob Poyton is still inching to it's first flight which is thought to be soon - it is finished in a bagdad Iraq scheme and looks great

I assume you are up to date with the change in ownership of the former Zuccoli machine passing to Tony Raftis - it is being readied at Toowoomba Qld fr a flight to Wangarratta for an overhaul.

Regards
John P

Steve

I last saw VH-ISS in 2001/2002. Rob was conducting retract tests and having a good whinge about Pommy stuff! It'll be a fine restoration when it's finished but is very much a spare time/Saturday morning project.

Cheers

Andy
