Looking for an On Mark A-26 info

Thu Feb 23, 2006 12:28 pm

I recently was given a poor, faded pic of an On Mark A-26 that was based here at VKS in the '60s. I'd like to find out more about this a/c but have been unable to thus far. At the time, its N # was N103C. That # is now on a Cirrus. The Army s/n was 41-39555, Douglas s/n was 7268. Any help on this ol' gal would be appreciated.

Nothing on Joe Baugher's site other than it was built as a solid nosed A-26B-40-DL .

Just on top of my head I think this plane was last registered to a bank in Florida, and has since disappeared. As have many Invaders over the last 30+ years. Some scrapped, and some lost on drug runs somewhere between the US border and "your friendly local drug supplier" in South America. Will check my references when I come home tonight. Any chance you can post the photo here? Would be great to see!
