Osprey and Squadron eBooks

Thu Feb 23, 2006 11:36 am

I am in the process of getting the ability to resell eBooks published by Osprey and Squadron Signal publications.

Was wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing eBooks in this format?

I am starting out on Ebay and maybe expanding from there. Who knows, just wanted to get your thoughts on this.

The eBook are .PDF ( Adobe Acrobat ) files that can be read and printed from your computer and instantly downloaded for your reading pleasure!

Just trying to come up with an extra income idea for those who like to get books in digital format for reading on a computer and the ability to print out what you want instantly. One feature to point out on these .PDF files, is that you can Zoom In without loosing distortion for us historical buffs, who like to dig deep into pictures.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Paul,

Sounds good. Are you getting (or trying to get) access to the back catalog or just the stuff which is in print in paper form?

that publication is primo 1st class. as comprehensive as it gets info / pic / detail wise in all their books. i've had a crap load of their books in the literature category for some time now at old bargain prices with no bites from other wixers as to interest in buying some. i don't get it!! is the economy that bad?? are people getting their info on line with out cracking a book?? great books for modelers, historians, restorers etc. best, tom

Well, it is the digital age. Most people like myself use the information on the internet or computer so much, the book is useless to me unless I can put it on the computer.

Not sure what you have for hard copies, but I would be at least interested in what you have.

I will try to put a sample of the new .PDF books on my site in the next couple of days for people to review.

Thanks!

As promised, here is the link to my Ebay eBook sale.

I only have one up so far, but many will follow.

If you need an eBook in past publication, contact me.

Sorry if I make this sound like a sales pitch, but it is truly not.

P.S. as a matter of fact, the first book sold, the money will be donated to the WIX Board for supporting all my crazy questions over the past year or so!

Thanks
