Oh, I LIKE that one! I had the idea to paint a model very much like that a few months ago. Good to know it will actually work! :supz:

Step 1 - Win Mega Lotto

Step 2 - Buy Barbie III 8)

Step 3 - Give her a little TLC and a NMF finish

Step 4 - Take her to airshows and let (for a nominal fee) people write their names on her. (Vets get to for free) :supz:

Step 5 - By the end of the airshow season, make enough money to repaint and do again the following season.

:drink3:

Then she'll look something like this.......

I'd like to see one in 50's USAF colors.
I'm fond of that scheme as well. NMF with black nacelles. I have my Dad's USAF flight school "yearbook" from '52 or '53 that has a bunch of pics of those. Some great cartoons, too.
We are restoring our TB-25N at Chanute Air Museum and plan to display in NMF as a true TB. We are in the process of stripping 50+ years of inappropriate paint and uncovering various markings some original some not. We would love to see your Fathers year book photos to assist in recreating accurate markings.
Any help appreciated.

Fabulous! Next time I'm over there, I'll borrow it and bring it home for scanning. If you give me the SN, I might even be able to find a pic of YOUR airplane. (Don't hold your breath, but it COULD happen.)

Curt, I should be going over to see Mom and Dad today and will try to borrow the "yearbook." In the meantime, I found I have one photo from it scanned, and here it is.

Please drop me an email. When I scan more pics, I'd prefer to send them to you direct and not load up my bulging Photobucket with them. Also got something else to send you I think you'll enjoy a lot.

Curt, went over to Dad's today and looked at the yearbook. Not worth bringing home and scanning--only two pics of B-25s in the whole thing, including the one I already posted. The other was a 2-page spread on the end flyleaf, a nice "glamor shot" of four B-25s in echelon formation. All four have NMF (not black) cowlings and nacelles, dark colored fin tips, ATC badges on the noses under the cockpits, another emblem on the fins (probably also ATC). Numbers are as follows:

BD-977/430977

BD-021/431021

BD-755/430755

BD-002/Full SN not visible

I'm not even certain these four airplanes were from the unit; it might have been used as a generic B-25 photo. BTW my Dad trained at Reese AFB, Lubbock, Texas, 1953. He went on to fly B-26s with the 37BS, 17BG, in Korea.

Very cool pics! I notice that none of them is carrying ATC badging (unless I missed something).

Might as well toss in Pacific Princess as she looked in 1955 in the movie 24 Hour Alert:
