This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

"Mr. Kane was charged not with possessing a dangerous weapon or with committing a crime of violence, but with a failure to file the appropriate form to register a non-operative collection of steel tubes," lawyers Spaan and James L. Kee of Oklahoma wrote.

Yup, that's the BATF for ya. "Now that we've completely dismantled your company's assets, do you have a license for those, er...um...little steel tubes over there?" I suppose these guys haven't been to an air show at any point in their lives or they'd know half the warbird owners in the country have long been sporting gun & bomb racks, rocket hard points, and every other type of surplus military hardware short of live guns and actual explosives. For the sake of all this hubub, I hope gov.org has some other cards up their sleeve besides that.

The media really is a hoot sometimes. The entire focus of the article and the investigation seems to be based on the anecdotal allegations of some dupe employee of another company. The only indictment so far is for steel tubes? They could at least throw in an allegation for supposed Yellow Cake possession for good measure. ;)

My gut feeling is that Bucknall snatch is a lying big mouth as much as anything. OOOOOOOh------rocket launcher tubes and and written info about rocket launchers------SCARY!!!!!

And then mention by fat mouth Bucknall about the fact she saw some guns-----and HANDGUNS at that--------OOOOOOH----double SCARY!!

And of course the lying, liberal media about has an orgasm regarding the guns----of course without determining if the are legally owned----which is entirely possible.

Sounds to me like we have a bunch of Federal law enforcement personnel with too much idle time on their hands!!!

Wouldn't be the first time.

ATF is under Congressional investigation for strongarming individuals in Virginia, post gunshow attendance.

There is apparently a lot more to the story than first thought....

This story took an interesting twist. On last night's news they reported the background story that led up to the crash. Here is a link to that story:

What is scary is to go and see Lords of War with Nick Cage - a Gun dealer working in cohoots with the US Govt (Supposidly a true story sic) complete WITH L39 ATTACKING AN An12 and then come home and read this post ....................Well anything is possible.............But

My theory would be Govt contract turned bad.

I am really worried though that this will feed the fires of the paranoid. There are a lot of aircraft in this category flying in civil hands - we could see a lot of trouble here guys.
