It works very well. When I flew the Phoenix from Greybull I was surprised how well the plane handled. I'll go thru my C-119 manuals and see what I can come up with.

they appear to be linked by amount of aileron travel. I never got into the systems that much, I flew the plane twice, fixed a issue with the left oil cooler shutters, serviced the props oil supply and filled the fuel tanks. The Phoenix was in very good shape when I flew it, I saw it about a year ago and it was looking very sad.

Although I never checked the specs, I was told the C-130 cargo compartment was designed to match the dimensions of a railroad boxcar

I know a Herc is pretty big on the inside, but a standard gauge railroad boxcar is pretty large as most boxcars by the 1950s were 50 feet long and much taller than you'd think. I'd be surprised the interior would match that for interior width and height.

Great videos Matt - I must have a problem though - I keep trying to dream up ways to keep planes like this flying. I guess I need to buy a few more lotto tickets pop1 It sure looks like a neat plane to fly!

But then if I won I think I would spring for a B-29 first since that fits a little better with Wendover history.
