I was expecting to see a shot of the Desert Rat hangar

I don't suppose there is any date tied to that photo, is there Bryan?

Definitely agree there is a lot of B-17 there.

Looks like they are under some type of stadium. Maybe parts now being used to rebuild the B-17 Champaign Lady??

No date mentioned. The poster stated only that he had decades of work ahead...
I think he may have lifted the image from somewhere else on the web, but I do not know for sure.
Could it be 44-83718 in storage in Brazil?

Brazil is correct, image is at least 10 years old.

this B-17 has now been taken outside, cleaned and intentions are to put her together for display.

when the money is provided of course. As seen before on this site here is a you tube of the aircraft.

Looks like there's enough there to get a good start on a B-17 project. I'm surprised no collector from the U.S. has made a play for it yet.

Plenty of offers have been made but she is still there and has progressed, albeit slowly over the last few years. This indicates - to me anyway - that there
is a genuine interest in keeping her local and improving on her display.

Some very interesting other items in storage as well and a good search of the net indicates the entire museum is improving in exhibitions and care of same.

A credit to all those involved who work with very limited funds.
